About our place

Welcome to Rocky Mountain hospitality in our newly renovated historical log house in the town of Jasper. This two bedroom suite, located in the lower level, has a fully equipped kitchen, two full bathrooms, living room and built-in laundry. Amenities include: free WI/FI, HD Cable TV, PVR, and Netflix. Available year round, ideal for two couples or a family of four. We are situated in Old Town Jasper, only five minutes from the train station, shopping and restaurant sector. Some of our local trail heads are also just up the street. Friendly and knowledgeable hosts. German, Swiss and French spoken.

Bear’s Den, two bedroom kitchen suite

The Bear’s Den Suite is truly a home away from home, ideal for short or long term stays. 

 

The living room features: an electric fireplace, HD cable TV, PVR, DVD, Movies, Netflix and high speed wireless internet. 

 

The kitchen has a full size refrigerator, stove, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, blender and is fully equipped with multiple utensils. Basic condiments such as coffee, tea etc are provided. The kitchen table seats up to four persons. The kitchen windows offer views of Whistlers Mountain and the historical Jasper Lutheran church. 

Both bedrooms have queen size log beds and HD cable TV. 

Bedroom number two also has a small refrigerator, coffee maker and kettle.

 

The full size main bathroom features a deep soaker bathtub/shower. The second full size bathroom is the ensuite to bedroom number two.

 

The suite has a self-contained washer and dryer for guests laundry needs and conveniences. Soap and iron/ironing board provided.

Bear’s Den Suite : low $250 and high $350 Bedroom One & Two

Bear’s Den Suite is truly a home away from home, ideal for short or long term stays. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes a refrigerator, stove, micro wave and seating for four persons. Coffee, tea, pop and various basic condiments are provided. In suite laundry facility.

We do not serve breakfast, however, the well known Bear Paw Bakery is just down the street from us which offers numerous delicious breakfast options. No Pets.

Your Hosts

Lydia and Gerry Edwards, have lived in Jasper for over 30 years and are very familiar and experienced with the many outdoor activities Jasper National Park has to offer. Lydia is originally from Switzerland and speaks German, French and English. Gerry is a retired locomotive engineer from CN and VIA Rail.

DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS

Arriving from the South or West: Stay on Connaught Drive, heading eastward past the train station on your right, passed the Parks Information Centre on our left, and at the end of the block turn left on to Pyramid Lake Road. After crossing two intersections, we are the log house after the Lutheran red brick church on the right hand side, 302 Pyramid Lake Road.

Arriving from the East: Stay on Connaught Drive, heading west, one block past Nesters Market, turn right on to Pyramid Lake Road. After crossing two intersections, we are the log house after the Lutheran red brick church on the right hand side, 302 Pyramid Lake Road.
